Had my first laser hair removal yesterday on my forearms. The treatment is no more painful than a zap of static. If you’ve had a wax before anywhere on your body, this will feel like nothing to you. It was also very fast – both arms took about 30 minutes. The machine is big, brand new, and has a computer for entering your skin type, hair type, and how much of a tan you have. The laser itself is basically like a small flashlight that pulses laser on your skin, and then a tiny spray of ice shoots out right after the laser, which helps cool the skin and reduce the pain even more. It even targets any ingrown hairs you may have from previous waxes. The redness afterwards was less significant than what you would have after a wax, and it went away in a few hours. I’m really excited about not having to wax anymore, and I already have an appointment for a bikini laser treatment.

Best place for a wax Whenever I need to go get a bikini wax I always go see Shia at Glow Med Spa. They are professional, fast, very reasonably priced and friendly. Shia uses a less-painful procedure than everyone else in town and is also cheaper and better. Best place to go! I’ve gone to several other places in town and Glow Med Spa is definitely my favorite. If you’re on their email list or facebook they always have discounts and deals going on too! Its so affordable that I went from getting bikini waxes every once in awhile or a couple times a year to regular monthly waxing. don’t normally write reviews, but Glow Med Spa deserves all the great reviews it receives. 🙂 Liked: Service, Value

I visited the Short Pump location & saw Chelsea. I have had facials in The States & Europe & haven’t had one better than this. The atmosphere, aroma and music was very relaxing and professional. When I walked through the front door I instantly forgot about everything outside the building. Chelsea was extremely professional, educational & thorough. She really took her time & wasn’t short on her massage including upper back & shoulders either. I would highly recommend her & this spa to anyone. Liked: Service, Atmosphere

I went to Denise for my Brazilian wax and she was very professional and kind. The experience was relaxing and fast. The service was incredible and the price was just right. I will certainly return.

I tried Glow Med Spa for the first time earlier this week and got a Brazilian wax by Lisa. She was fabulous! The wax was honestly painless- bonus! In comparison to other spa’s where I have been waxed here in Richmond, Glow Med Spa is hands down the most affordable and it still maintains all of the professionalism of the more expensive spas. Oh- and I love the decor in there! So different but it really works in the space. Highly recommend!
